Factory is 100% for horses’ needs

One of the few factories in Europe entirely dedicated to the manufacture of horse feed.

Traceability

We assure the complete traceability of our products from the reception of primary ingredients to the delivery of the finished feed. Each of our manufactured batch is identified by a lot number. You can find this lot number on the delivery note as well as on the label of your feed.

Quality approach

To strengthen our quality system, we are committed to a HACCP approach according to the latest safety standards. This reflects on the high level of standards we set to comply with in our company.p>

Factory specialised for equine purposes

The Lambey factory specialises in the manufacture of horse feed. For several years, the company has been committed to a complete quality approach.

French made

We design and manufacture all our feed in our specialised factory located in the heart of Burgundy, a beautiful agricultural and grain region.

Local sourcing

60% of our raw materials are supplied within a radius of 70 km around the production site.

‎

French raw materials

97% of our raw materials are supplied in France..

When the required level of quality is not available in France, we favour a neighbouring supply.
Apple pomace, for example, comes from Lake Constance in Germany.

Environmentally friendly packaging

The bags used for packaging our feed are made of paper. The paper comes from a 100% natural and renewable source. These packages are recyclable.
We entrust Emmaus with the collection, sorting and recycling of waste paper generated on our production site.

No GMO

All raw materials used for the composition
of feeds are suitable for "Fed without GMO <0.9%".

Manufactured according to our quality control procedures which include the risk management of contamination of our feeds by naturally occurring substances that are banned under the rules of racing and equestrian sports.

Context

The FEI and the rules of racing forbid the presence of any doping substance.

However, those contaminants naturally present in certain primary ingredients can sometimes accidentally be found in horse feeds.

In parallel, the creation of the French anti-doping agency has lead to an extansion of these controls across all sporting activities.

Lambey's anti-doping procedures

Lambey's feeds are all produced on a single manufacturing site.

This site operates on strict requirements with regard to the oversight, control and surveillance of the feeds.

This method is built on a number of fundamentals :

  • Purchase of primary ingredients specific to horses.
  • Strict selection of suppliers.
  • Commitment by the supplier to follow technical specifications specific to horses.
  • Controlling the transport of our primary ingredients.
  • Control of the manufacturing.
  • Total traceability of our feeds from primary ingredients to finished product.
  • Sampling from every batch.
  • Control of bulk and bagged deliveries.
  • We own our own delivery vehicles enabling us to avoid any contamination during transport of our feeds.
  • Race course laboratories test our primary ingredients and our feeds. The laboratory verifies the absence of competition banned substances.
