2016 Study: Monitoring French trotters in mid race season.
2018 Study: Monitoring show jumping horses at a top level stable.
During these studies, the horses continued their training, competitions and races.
These horses, subject to strenuous exercise, were fed with a special feed for 8 weeks for Study 1, and 5 weeks for Study 2.
The veterinarians performed gastroscopic examinations of all horses at the start and end of the study.

MONITORING CHANGES IN OVERALLHEALTH OF THE STOMACH MUCOSA .Gastric endoscopy was used to monitor the mucosa in the glandular and non-glandular gastric mucosa of the stomach. They scored the severity of any lesions seen according to their seriousness. The combined total score was used to assess the overall health of the mucosa. |
